Direct Printing on ceramics with firing
Direct Print is a highly automated technique used for engraving advertising ceramics. Unlike, for example, ceramic decals, printing process does not require any additional carrier in a form of carbon paper. Printing takes place directly on the ceramic surface which allows for lower engraving costs.
Engravings put by direct printing are burnt on at the temperature of around 800 °C, which allows the print to be cleaned in a dishwasher.
Advantages:
- Low print costs
- The print is dishwasher-safe (except for prints on glass, metal and plastic surfaces). Warranty for a period of 1 year
- Ideal for motifs in full color
Disadvantages:
- Printing only in full color without raster elements
- Print can be done only on the outside of the product in the designated print area
- Maximum number of colors: 6 (from minimum order of 108 units)
- No possibility of applying a uniform, single-color design (in a form of apls) on the entire standard surface of the print.
- If the project requires putting paint on even surface or one that's 60% bigger than standard print surface of a certain product, the client will have to consult it with their sales assistant.
- Minimal thickness of the line: 0,2 mm in positive, 0,4 mm in negative
- Minimal text size: 7pts in positive, 10 points in negative
